In this afternoon’s Prime Minister’s Questions, Boris Johnson finally stopped making the false claim that there are more people in work now than there were before the pandemic.

He’s right there are more payrolled employees–but this excludes the self-employed. There aren’t more people in employment, as he previously claimed.

This is significant, because as recently as yesterday the PM and his colleagues have been getting this wrong.

Friend, it shouldn't take three months to get the facts right.

Do you agree we deserve better?

Chip in to help get the record corrected

We're still waiting for corrections on the inaccurate claims we called him out on.

Mr Johnson repeated the false claim on several occasions, including last week’s PMQs and in an interview yesterday. Cabinet Ministers, ITV News and the Express also picked up on the false claim, spreading it further.

In December, we wrote to Mr Johnson asking him to correct the record, in keeping with the Ministerial Code, which requires that all Ministers give accurate and truthful information to Parliament, correcting any error at the earliest opportunity.

Correcting mistakes is not an admission of failure, but a way for our elected representatives to lead by example.

Will you support our call, and help ensure that the Prime Minister lives up to his requirement for honesty and accuracy in Parliament?

Yes, I'll chip in £10
Yes, I'll give £8 a month

Each and every supporter helps amplify our call for a more accurate debate.

Thank you so much for standing with us,
