Fox News reported yesterday that Border Patrol Agents and Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers found more than 20 illegal immigrants at a Laredo hotel, where rooms were being used as "stash houses." Human smugglers were using these Texas hotel rooms to house migrants until they were able to relocate them.

The crisis we are experiencing at our southern border is an ongoing disaster that the Biden administration has yet to address. Criminal elements are exploiting the lack of federal security at the border. It is now a year into his presidency, and Biden still refuses to call the situation what it is — a crisis!

Last month, I wrote to you about a mother and daughter who were killed when a smuggler with seven illegal immigrants in his SUV slammed into their car while evading Border Patrol. There's no excuse for this.

Sixty-three percent of Texans disapprove of how Biden is handling the border crisis. His refusal to secure our border is resulting in unprecedented crime, chaos and death.

When I first ran for Lt. Governor back in 2014, I pledged to ban sanctuary cities and fund border security at historic levels. I kept my promise.

This year I approved funding to begin construction of the border wall and to send thousands of National Guards to protect our border. I have funded hundreds of millions more to increase our state troopers on the border along with additional air, water, and land assets.

When President Trump was in office we had better control of the border than we have had in decades.

Today, Texas has to do all we can to secure the border because Biden won't. Biden's policy puts Texas and America at risk from criminals, possible terrorists, and the drugs that flow across the border each day.

In Texas, we are turning conservative policy into conservative legislation. The Democrats are trying to defeat me at the ballot box because of this, and they will stop at nothing to defeat me in 2022. Can I count on your support of $5-$10-$25 or more to help me keep fighting?
