v-ricketts%E2%80%99-budget-legislative-initiatives John,
Last week, Governor Ricketts delivered his annual State of the State
address this week—and it was full of conservative priorities!

The
Governor’s top priorities: Controlling spending and tax relief. His
plans will keep government spending in check and put more money back
into the pockets of hardworking Nebraskans in 2022.

In case you
missed the speech, we rounded up the top 3 things you need to know
about the Governor’s budget and legislative initiatives.
Controlling
Spending: Governor Ricketts’ recommendations limit State budget growth
to 2.9% over the next two years. Protecting Property Tax Relief: The
Governor wants to ensure that the annual amount of property tax relief
through the Refundable Income Tax Credit will remain at least $548
million per year. Delivers More Tax Relief: The Governor’s plan cuts
income taxes for working families and cuts taxes on job creators. He
also wants to speed up plans to fully exempt taxes on Social Security
benefits.

Governor Ricketts’
leadership has helped Nebraska remain the best state in the nation to
live, work, and raise a family. It’s up to each of us to support the
Governor and Republicans in the Legislature who are working to make the
Good Life even better.

Sincerely,
