In Colorado, we have Tina Peters—the Clerk for Mesa County, who is credibly accused of aiding an outside security breach of the county’s voting equipment in 2021 and is an avid supporter of the MyPillow nutjob, Mike Lindell. According to the Colorado Sun, “Peters is under a criminal investigation by local, state and federal authorities, and last week a Mesa County grand jury agreed to begin a probe into allegations of official misconduct against her.” Colorado’s Democratic Secretary of State filed a lawsuit today to block Tina Peters from being involved in the 2022 election—a positive result that highlights how crucial it is to prevent these right-wing extremists from holding power at every level of government.
