We’re approaching one full year since Democrats have been in power in the House, Senate and White House, but we still don’t have much to show for it. Here’s the reality, John.
President Biden reflects the ideological center of Congressional Democrats, who’ve moved leftward as progressives (like Justice Democrats) have won primaries. But the ideological center of Congressional Democrats still doesn’t reflect the policy views of a majority of Democratic voters.
In poll after poll, we see a majority of Democrats, and even a majority of overall voters, support policies like a Green New Deal, Medicare for All, and a $15 minimum wage. Yet, Democrats in the House and Senate failed this last year to take action on crucial issues like paid family leave, climate action, student debt relief, and so much more.
What do we do about this? Elect our 2022 slate of Justice Democrats who will join AOC, Jamaal, Cori, and other Justice Democrats in the fight for transformational policies for working people.
So, John, can you make your first contribution to fight for our agenda and get more Justice Democrats elected to Congress? We’re counting on our movement to power our primaries and make our agenda a reality.
Justice Democrats showed their fighting power this year, but we need to be in the best possible position to expand our coalition and get things done for the American people.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
