On behalf of everyone at Team Lightfoot, I want to thank you for all that you do for our campaign. 

 

2021 was a year of recovery and investments. Take a look at just a few of our biggest accomplishments from last year:







 









 

We also celebrated the two-year anniversary of INVEST South/West, my unprecedented revitalization strategy for our long-neglected West and South Side communities. Despite the pandemic, we exceeded our goal of $750 million in three years - instead reaching an incredible $1.4 Billion in just two years.

 

These investments, along with major reforms and initiatives made over the last year, set Chicago on a path to empower residents, transform neighborhoods, create jobs, and bring new businesses to the city.

 

And we’re just getting started. In fact, our most recent budget will make a whopping $1.2 Billion in investments in our city’s people and growth. There will be more deadlines and challenges ahead. But I know that we have built an incredible team, and I can’t wait to build on all that we achieved in 2021 together.
