Although we have been fighting for the end to these GOP tactics, which aim to repress voters of color, we continue to see more and more abuse of our political systems. If Desantis gets his way, we are in danger of cutting HALF of the number of African American districts on our current congressional map. We need to do what we can now to protect democracy and end partisan gerrymandering.
It is time that Senate Democrats prioritize the end of partisan gerrymandering in order to protect voting rights. We cannot let minority representation be wiped from our congressional map … and we won’t.
