We at A Stronger Louisiana closed out 2021 by highlighting some of Governor John Bel Edwards biggest accomplishments of the year. Now, we're highlighting some of his biggest news each week to ensure self-serving politicians cannot diminish the progress being made by Gov. Edwards.

Recently, Gov. Edwards announced that Advanced Call Center Technologies will invest $1.5 million to develop a new customer care center in Shreveport.

This development will bring 600 direct new jobs and 314 indirect jobs to Northwest Louisiana.

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, also known as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, is set to bring nearly $6 billion to Louisiana over the next five years to fund improvements to our crumbling infrastructure.

Last week, it was announced that Louisiana will receive $202.6 million this year alone to fund improvements to bridges across the state of Louisiana. For a list of projects set to receive funding from the allocation of these fund click HERE [[link removed]] .




The Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, which specializes in coastal restoration and hurricane protection, recently completed the Cameron Creole Freshwater Introduction project in Cameron Parish.

The function, value, and sustainability of over 22,510 acres of marsh and open water were restored.
