On the one-year anniversary of the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, President Obama delivered this chilling message:

The truth is that our democracy is at greater risk today than it was [on January 6, 2021].

Then, A.G. Holder echoed the connection between the physical attack on the Capitol and the GOP's legislative attacks on fair elections:

You are now either with those who do not believe in our system of government or you stand for America
It's time to choose.

As The Guardian put it, “Republicans' anti-democratic attacks are the new normal.” But we refuse to let them get away with any of it, John. We intend to fight for our democracy and the rule of law. Are you in?
