This past month, we had an opportunity to hear and share the perspective on Eva Longoria, an actress, producer, and activist who like many of us, has experienced street harassment. Alongside Hollaback!’s Emily May, Eva shared our training methodology with a diverse audience of different cultures, ages, and backgrounds.

“Without a doubt, hands down, every woman I know has experienced or witnessed a woman being harassed… It’s something that can chip away at your self-worth.” Eva shared with the audience. 

"This is a very powerful training that transcends nationality, transcends countries because we are all women."

This past month the New York City Council Committee on Women and Gender Equity passed a bill that by design lets those most affected by harassment drive the solutions through the creation of an Advisory Board. Hollaback! is proud to have worked with Council Member Rosenthal and Jean Son, who championed this bill. Read More about the bill here.

Hollaback!’s Executive Director and Co-Founder Emily May joined Eva Longoria and L’Oreal Paris at the Dubai Expo 2020 stage to train a live audience, and also for two additional events highlighting the Stand Up Against Street Harassment. According to Eva Longoria this campaign is personally impactful, “I’ve been with L'Oreal for 16 years and this is one of the things that has made me most proud.” Read more about it by clicking this link.
