Friends —

Members of Congress should not buy and sell stocks while in public office.

This is not a controversial idea. Yet, today, it is also legal.

I’m working with Jon Ossoff to change that. Together, we’ve introduced legislation called the Ban Congressional Stock Trading Act that is as simple as it is necessary.

Elected leaders have access to valuable policy information that impacts the economy and industries. The legislation we’re introducing would put an end to corrupt insider trading and ensure leaders in Congress focus on delivering results for the American people — not their stock portfolios.

This is an idea supported by Democrats, Republicans and Independents alike.

Now, I want to know if you support it as well:

Please sign my petition: Say you support my legislation that will ban members of Congress from buying and selling stocks while in office.

Since I took office, I’ve remained focused on making Washington work for Arizonans. That includes making Washington more accountable and transparent.

Thanks for making your voice heard here.
