Friend – These past months, I've been investigating harmful exposure to toxic Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) and working to ensure these chemicals are remediated. And after my initial email to you, an astounding 97.8% of this team told me that cleaning up PFAS is a big priority for you and your families.

Recent reports have revealed that PFAS were not properly cleaned up at sites across the country, resulting in preventable contamination that has harmed local residents – as well as impacting water supplies, fish and wildlife. Now, communities are continuing to experience serious health and environmental impacts from exposure to these harmful chemicals.

I will do whatever I can to prevent future harm from exposure to PFAS, and ensure that every family across the nation has access to clean and safe drinking water. Right now, I'm holding hearings and pressing for action here in the Senate. But with all the gridlock in Washington, change only happens with a strong, united grassroots force.

That's why I'm emailing you today. I've created a petition to show my colleagues that there's strong support for cleaning up PFAS, but I need another 3,490 signatures before 11:59 p.m. tonight to reach my goal.

So please, before my deadline in just a few hours, will you sign my petition to demand that we clean up PFAS and stop the contamination of water supplies and wildlife?

Thank you for standing with me. Your support will be incredibly helpful to making our communities and wildlife safer.

Thanks,

Gary
