The price is wrong: President Biden said last year that sky-high inflation was a temporary thing that would soon go away. Instead, it’s steadily climbed, with December prices up 7% over the year before, a 40-year high.
Don’t blame COVID: Joel Griffith, a research fellow with Heritage’s Roe Institute for Economic Policy Studies, says COVID isn’t responsible for the spike in prices, badly misguided public policies in response to the pandemic are—namely federal mandates, disincentives to work, school shutdowns.
Paying the bill: “Americans will continue to pay for the Biden administration’s reckless disregard for their wellbeing until there is change,” Griffith said in a statement, which you can read here.
