On the Agenda: We celebrate an important win at the U.S. Supreme Court, which blocked the Biden administration’s draconian COVID vaccine mandate on employers. We fact-check President Joe Biden’s claims about election integrity laws and explain what’s driving inflation. You also don’t want to miss a new video showing moms’ reactions when they learn what schools are having their children read. There’s much more in this week’s Agenda that you don’t want to miss.
A Major Victory for Heritage and Freedom
What happened: In case you missed it, the U.S. Supreme Court last week blocked the Biden administration’s attempt to circumvent the law and impose a COVID-19 vaccine mandate on millions of workers. It was a big win <[link removed]>.

Heritage’s role: The Heritage Foundation filed its first-ever lawsuit <[link removed]> against the federal government over this mandate, and our legal scholars wrote
extensively about why the Occupational Safety and Health Administration had no legal authority to impose this requirement, including a report in the peer-reviewed Administrative Law Review <[link removed]>.

Our reaction: “We’re just ecstatic,” Heritage President Kevin Roberts said during an appearance on the “Sekulow” radio show Friday, “not just because we, and many others—any employer with over 100 employees—have won these cases. We’re ecstatic because it is a line in the sand against this regime that they better not cross again.”

More to do: Roberts added that “We have won one battle, but we’ve not won the political and policy war. And just know, The Heritage Foundation, all of us here, stand at the ready for the next battle.” You can watch Robert’s appearance here <[link removed]>. Read the rest of Roberts’ statement here <[link removed]>.
5 Big Biden Lies About Election Integrity
So many untruths: President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris uttered numerous falsehoods about the election process and the filibuster while pushing their anti-voter agenda last week.

Adding them up: Senior legal fellows Hans A. von Spakovsky and Thomas Jipping fact-checked their remarks and found five claims that were either outright false or grossly misleading.

What is true: The left is pushing a voter “reform” bill that would outlaw “basic safeguards such as voter ID requirements while enabling practices like mass ballot trafficking.” Get the truth here <[link removed]>.
Biden Administration Snoozes as Inflation Reaches 40-Year High
The price is wrong: President Biden said last year that sky-high inflation was a temporary thing that would soon go away. Instead, it’s steadily climbed, with December prices up 7% over the year before, a 40-year high.

Don’t blame COVID: Joel Griffith, a research fellow with Heritage’s Roe Institute for Economic Policy Studies, says COVID isn’t responsible for the spike in prices, badly misguided public policies in response to the pandemic are—namely federal mandates, disincentives to work, school shutdowns.

Paying the bill: “Americans will continue to pay for the Biden administration’s reckless disregard for their wellbeing until there is change,” Griffith said in a statement, which you can read here <[link removed]>.
Watch Moms’ Real-time Reaction to What Schools Are Having Children Read
What happened: Heritage sat down with three moms and had them each read several children’s books that promote gender identity and sexual orientation policies. We caught their reactions on video.

‘Woke’ books: One of the books is titled “My Princess Boy,” in which the dad “tells my Princess Boy how pretty he looks in a dress.”

Heritage’s take: “Parents deserve more transparency about what their children are learning in schools and the option to choose another school when their
assigned school doesn’t reflect their values,” Lindsey Burke, director of Heritage’s Center for Education Policy, said in a statement. <[link removed]>
