Virtual Museum Experience Takeover Each month we will dive into one of the National Constitution Center's educational programs, as a way to learn more about what the Center has to offer. This month is all about Virtual Museum Experiences! Virtual Museum Experiences At the National Constitution Center, we know learning is taking place in a variety of environments, in many instances virtually, and field trips to museums and other cultural organizations may not be an option for some schools. We are dedicated to continuing to provide you and your students with learning experiences and support, which is why we are offering Virtual Museum Experiences, designed and customized just for your class! Our Virtual Experiences put your students in the driver’s seat. Experience the museum from anywhere The Center’s LIVE Virtual Museum Experience includes signature features of the on-site experience. Highlights include guided tours of our exhibit spaces and a live Q&A so your students can engage directly with our museum educators. More Than a Tour The program is live and incredibly interactive. You and your students WILL NOT be clicking through a PowerPoint presentation. You will have the opportunity to ask the educator to zoom in on an artifact, talk more about a particular topic, or go back and revisit a historic document. Your students will truly get a behind-the-scenes look at the exhibit of your choice. Our educator will engage with your students in real time. Students will get to ask questions and our educator will engage them with questions and scenarios of their own. Shifting between virtual and in-person teaching is stressful and unexpected. Let us provide additional support for you and your students by pairing the virtual experience with resources from our In the Classroom module pages. What You Need to Know Duration: 30 to 45 minutes Times: Available select times Monday through Thursday Exhibit Spaces: The Story of We the People, Signers’ Hall, Civil War and Reconstruction: The Battle for Freedom and Equality, and The 19th Amendment: How Women Won the Vote Price: $150 per tour for up to 300 students Funding is available. Include questions about funding and scholarships in your group sales submission form. Additional Information: Students can join from the classroom or from home through a secure Zoom link, accessible from a home computer, laptop, or phone. Need to know more?
