Unfortunately, the Trump administration has taken yet another stance against the LGBTQ+ community.

By rolling back President Obama’s protections, this new policy would allow faith-based adoption agencies to discriminate against prospective LGBTQ+ parents by preventing them from adopting or fostering children.

This rule would bring harm not only to loving parents, but to thousands of children in Kansas and beyond who are waiting to find their new family.

Sharice won’t stop fighting until we achieve equality for all Americans. No one should be barred from becoming a parent simply because of who they love or how they identify.
