This week is critical.
On this Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I’m hoping that you’ll join me in the fight for voting rights legislation. A great way to honor the work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is recommitting to the effort to secure voting rights so everyone can have their voice heard and vote counted.
This week is an especially critical time to redouble our resolve for action. So, can you add your name to our petition calling on Congress to immediately pass historic voting rights legislation?

The right to vote is a fundamental part of our democracy. But throughout America’s history, different groups of people have been barred from voting based on their race, gender, and economic status.
Today, Republican voter suppression laws and outdated voting practices continue to prevent people from voting — particularly Black and brown folks in states with Republican legislatures. If we are going to succeed in our fight for free and fair elections, we must succeed in guaranteeing the voting rights of BIPOC folks in Georgia, Texas, and every state in the country.
Whether it’s voter suppression, shutting down polling places, or taking people off of the voting rolls, people across the country are having their voting rights taken away. We can do something about that right now.
Will you join me and add your name to the call for voting rights legislation today? We must guarantee that everyone can have their vote counted, and that we have free and fair elections.
Thank you for taking action today on such an important issue and at such a critical moment. Let’s protect our democracy today and always.
In solidarity,
Pramila
