Hello ,

Today is the first anniversary of the founding of TakeCharge. It has been wonderful to see the enthusiastic response to our message and mission -- the promise of America is alive and well and available to anyone regardless of race or station in life.

Although our leadership has changed, our focus has not. We will not apologize for embracing America or its history because the promise of America works. Executive Director Sheila Qualls along with Board Chair Alfrieda Baldwin bring unified, yet personal stories to TakeCharge’s mission of advancing a new narrative.

We look forward to the continued expansion of our volunteer recruitment and ambassador program, inspirational video releases, and the production of our new documentary, The Victor Project ([link removed]) , set to be released early this year! We also plan to expand TakeCharge beyond the borders of Minnesota and answer the call to establish chapters outside of the Twin Cities.

We will continue to fight against forces that seek to divide us and who use race as a cover to advance an anti-American agenda. TakeCharge is confident our goal, to inspire and educate black and other minority communities of their full rights and privileges as Americans granted to them by the Constitution, will grow and strengthen under our new leadership.

We will continue to strive to unite Americans regardless of background toward a shared history and a common set of beliefs. TakeCharge continues to celebrate the triumphs of all who have achieved the American Dream and encourage those still working to achieve it.

TakeCharge is grateful for your continued support and look forward to working with you in the new year.
