The response to SPUC’s New Year Fundraising appeal has been tremendous.
“Thank you” to EVERYONE who has donated.
At 5pm today the total raised stood at an astonishing £75,192.
The money which you have donated will ensure that we can fully implement SPUC’s 2022 Action Plan (and other important work, like our outreach to schools) and tackle head on the THREE biggest dangers which threaten unborn babies and other vulnerable people this year. The dangers are:
- Ban on pro-life speech + assembly on UK campuses
The Free Speech Bill would protect pro-life speech at universities, but in the coming months we must do everything in our power to ensure that pro-lifers can speak freely on campus.
- Assisted suicide
Should the Scottish Parliament pass the McArthur Bill, pressure would build on Westminster to follow suit, putting thousands of vulnerable people’s lives at risk.
- Abortion “coercion”
75% of the women who contact our sister organisation’s helpline - three in four - are pressurised or bullied into having their abortion. This must STOP.
January is a critical month for SPUC’s finances. It sets us up for the rest of the year.
We rely solely on individual supporters, like you, to defend unborn babies.
