Folks —
On this Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we remember one of the greatest civil rights leaders in our nation’s history. Dr. King’s voice inspired thousands to reject racism and march towards a more equal and equitable society.
Dr. King’s mission was an American one at its core. He stood for equal opportunities for public education, equal justice in the court of law, and equal access to the ballot box. These rights ought to be protected for every American citizen, no questions asked.
The legacy that Dr. King left behind has inspired generations of activists and leaders to keep up the good fight because while we’ve made progress, there’s still work left to be done.
Today, let’s reflect on the work that Dr. King had accomplished and recommit to doing everything we can to make our country one where civil rights prevail in the face of discrimination. Just as it was back in the days of Dr. King, the time is always right to do what is right.
Together in unity,
Susie Lee
