{FirstName or 'Friend'}},
Each year we come together to celebrate the life, legacy, and accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. While this year is no different, Dr. King’s lessons of service, the importance of fighting for freedom, equality, and justice ring out as clear as ever.
There is no better way to make progress, and to do what is right, than to forge the path ahead with conviction, tenacity, and a moral compass all of which enable us to know the difference between justice and injustice, and to do something about it.
It’s these American ideals that empower us to do better, be better, and to create a stronger, more equitable democracy. It’s why I was proud just a few days ago to vote in the House to pass the John Lewis Freedom to Vote Act, and it’s why I’ll keep fighting for its passage in the Senate.
It’s our responsibility to stay engaged and informed, to VOTE, and to work together to achieve the justice and equality our country is still so hungry for.
Keep fighting and look out for one another. We’re still in this together.
- Jim
