Today we honor the life and legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Dr. King spent his life in pursuit of building a country where everyone was free and equal, no matter their race or background.
His legacy inspires so many of us across the country to fight for a Beloved Community where everyone is cared for, absent of poverty, hunger, and hate.
In a world still riddled with the same evils that Dr. King stood against — voter suppression, white supremacy, hatred, and poverty — we must continue his legacy ourselves and take bold, consistent action for the betterment of our community.
