Today, we honor the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. His leadership in the fight for civil rights and racial equality encouraged a nationwide movement and made him one of the most revered public figures in the history of our country.
More than ever, it's important that we take time to remember how Dr. King fought to make our world a better place for future generations. That's what today's holiday is about, making our world better for our children and grandchildren. I urge you to take time today to find an opportunity to serve your community.
