Today we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and remember his commitment to justice and equality.
Dear Friend,
Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a champion of civil rights, equality, and justice.
At a time when working people across the country are taking back their power, I am inspired by Dr. King who challenged us to realize that a better world is possible when we stand together.
“In our glorious fight for civil rights, we must guard against being fooled by false slogans, such as ‘right to work.’ It is a law to rob us of our civil rights and job rights. Its purpose is to destroy labor unions and the freedom of collective bargaining by which unions have improved wages and working conditions of everyone."
I hope you will remember Dr. King’s commitment to civil and worker rights today and each day as we fight for a better world together.
In Unity,
