John,

It's been a little over two years since I had the honor of being sworn in as the 63rd governor of Kentucky. Every day since then, my priority has been to put Kentuckians first – and we've accomplished a lot.

I'm proud to have worked with leaders on both sides of the aisle to invest in infrastructure and job creation. My administration has expanded and restored voting rights, improved public education and protected health care access for nearly 100,000 Kentuckians. We've implemented our Better Kentucky plan to clean up our water supply, improve internet access, and provide Kentucky students the world-class public education they deserve.

As we continue to battle the COVID-19 pandemic, I've been focused on keeping Kentuckians safe, ensuring our small businesses stay afloat, and protecting essential workers. And despite all the challenges we've faced, we had our best economic year in recent history and are creating more jobs with better wages than ever before.

We've made a lot of progress for the Commonwealth, but there's still more to be done.

Over the next two years, my priorities remain the same – doing what's best for Kentuckians. I'm working to ensure our communities have the resources they need to recover and rebuild from last month's devastating tornadoes. I'll continue to take the necessary steps to keep you and your loved ones safe from COVID-19. And I'll fight for the historic investments we need in our infrastructure, education, and for new jobs that pay good wages.

It won't be easy, but by coming together again and leaning on our values, I'm confident that we can continue to create real opportunity and progress in every community across the Commonwealth.
