We have a hot take that really shouldn’t be a hot take: Members of Congress and their spouses should NOT be allowed to trade stocks.

Tim has come out in strong support of legislation banning members of Congress from buying and trading stocks, but now we need strong grassroots support to pass it into law!

We need 3,500 signatures by midnight tonight. Will you add your name to our petition to ban insider trading and level the playing field for hardworking Ohioans?

Members of Congress have access to highly confidential information that the public does not. Buying and trading stocks for the same companies that they are making laws for is a gross conflict of interest. But this is still legal thanks to politicians who only look out for their own bottom line.

When the scales are tipped so far in the favor of those in power, we need to make a BIG change. And banning members of Congress from using their position to grow their bank accounts is a HUGE step in the right direction.

Then, when Tim is elected Senator and expands the Democratic majority, he’ll champion legislation to cut workers in on the deal.
