THE EBOLA CRISIS YOU HAVEN'T HEARD OF...
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I’m reaching out to you because I know you care deeply about helping families in their time of greatest need, especially vulnerable children.
And today, I have an urgent request:
Will you help children directly affected by the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo?
The Democratic Republic of Congo is currently in the grips of its longest and deadliest Ebola outbreak to date. IMA World Health and Lutheran World Relief are working together at the front lines of this ongoing crisis to stop the spread of the virus and care for patients.
This week, we received a troubling update from our team. They report that children, who have lost parents to Ebola, are unable to attend school because their family can no longer afford it.
The need is great. Please consider helping. We can’t allow children to miss school … to fall behind … to lose a sense of normalcy during this time of terrible hardship.
It costs just $110 to send one child to school for an entire year. This includes school fees, uniforms and supplies. Our team is prepared to work with nearly 1,000 families immediately and will expand as we are able.
Thank you for your generosity and compassion for those in their time of greatest need.
Blessings,
Jennifer Bentzel – Outreach and Engagement Manager
P.S. Education is the key to a child’s future. You can provide that education for children in the DRC.
