We just got a bombshell report from Rachel Maddow:

Donald Trump’s personal lawyers have officially met with the Fulton County, Georgia, district attorney’s office, which is investigating Trump’s interference in the 2020 election.

This is a major step closer to ensuring the former president is held accountable for his potentially criminal misconduct.

Let me quickly remind you of the egregious behavior being investigated. Just days before his January 6 rally that helped incite an insurrection on our Capitol, Trump – in his mad dash to try to overturn his election defeat – called Georgia’s secretary of state and pressured him to “find” enough votes to flip the state in Trump’s favor.

Trump laced the conversation with veiled threats, applying clearly improper – and potentially unlawful – pressure on Georgia’s secretary of state, their top election official.

The Georgia prosecutor’s office says they’re making significant progress – and may even convene a special grand jury with subpoena power over the former president.

But nearly the entire Republican Party is clinging to Trump, and they are dead set on protecting him from accountability – no matter the cost to our republic. The pressure on those who seek to hold Trump accountable will be intense.

So in light of this breaking news, we have to keep up the grassroots pressure in support of accountability for Trump.
