Remembrance Sunday
People across Broxtowe will gather at war memorials on Sunday to commemorate and give thanks for the sacrifice of service men and women and their families. As your MP I attended the civic service in Beeston. I also arranged for a variety of representatives of all ages to lay wreaths on my behalf at other services in Broxtowe. I am sorry that the strict rules have prevented this year’s volunteers from laying the Parliamentary wreaths. Whatever the outcome of the General Election in Broxtowe, I very much hope the tradition I started will continue.
I shall be in Beeston and I hope as many people as can will join the many processions and services throughout the constituency.

Funding success for Beeston FC
Beeston Football Club have received a considerable donation from pharmaceutical company Reckitt Benckiser who are based on the Boots site. The money will go towards a new sports pavilion, available to the community as well as the Club, on their Trent Vale ground.
I have backed the plans and wrote to Reckitt Benckiser's Chief Executive to ask for a donation after visiting the Club. This exciting project is more than worthy of support given the current state of the buildings.

The General Election will take place on Thursday 12th December. If you’re not already on the electoral roll then please register to vote. Registration takes just a few minutes and must be done by midnight on Tuesday 26th November. If you would like a postal vote the deadline is 5pm on the same day.
