Please read – this is not a fundraising email
Dear John,
Please don’t delete this—it’s not a fundraising email. It’s personal.
The new year always has me thinking about new beginnings, maybe because my
birthday is in January, or maybe because I like setting goals. Every year, I
like to pick a resolution that makes me uncomfortable, and I want to encourage
you to do the same.
One of the most important things we can do in life is to push through the fear.
When I ran for the state legislature, when I ran for governor, when I came to
the United Nations—I always made sure I never got too comfortable.
That’s normal. New experiences, new jobs, even new hobbies can push you past
your comfort zone. But, never forget, fear holds us back and keeps us from
realizing our dreams.
When I left the United Nations, after so many years in public life, I needed
to push myself again. So I picked a new kind of New Year’s resolution: running.
I played sports growing up, but I had never been an active runner. The idea of
committing to something without knowing if I’d be any good at it was, to be
honest, more than a little scary. But I laced up my shoes, put my music on
(Joan Jett, of course) and put one foot in front of the other.
Last year, my New Year’s resolution was to run a race. It terrified me. What
if I didn’t finish? What if I came in last place? It doesn’t matter, I told
myself: push through the fear.
So I pushed. Just last month, I finished my first half-marathon—something I
never thought I could do two years ago. It certainly wasn’t easy. Some days, I
didn’t feel like putting in the miles. And life is certainly filled with good
excuses to avoid training. But I felt so proud when I crossed that finish line.
Not just because I ran 13.1 miles, but because I did something I didn’t think I
could do.
As we enter 2022, I want to encourage you to find something—big or small—that
will make you feel the same way.Because when you get to the other side of the
fear, you will be so glad you pushed through it.
Happy New Year. May it be a great one, filled with personal and political
victories.
My very best,
Nikki

Update on the Next Election
I want to give you a quick update on my plans for the next election. Since
launching Stand For America PAC we have financially supported dozens of
conservative candidates – including Glenn Youngkin and Jason Miyares in
Virginia. Now I’m focused on helping even more Republicans win in the next
election, and I want you to play an important part.
If you want to support leaders who believe America is inherently good, and who
understand that the Democrats' far-left policies undermine our freedoms and
American values, I’m humbly asking you to join my team today.
Are you with me?
