Hi there,
You may have noticed a flurry of emails from me at the end of last quarter. I don't like to clutter your inbox, but my campaign was facing our biggest public fundraising deadline of the year. Pundits are saying that we could lose this Senate seat—and with it, our majority—so emails like this are crucial to raising the resources we need to win.
Before I get any further, let me ask: Will you please make a donation of any amount to help us win in New Hampshire and protect Democrats’ fragile hold on the majority? I’ll explain more about why this matters today in a moment.
The email below was among the most successful at bringing in contributions. While public deadlines are critical, the donations you make on a random Sunday in January help me connect with voters about the work we’ve done to make life better for hardworking families. Since I won my last race by just 1,017 votes, we need to be talking to voters each and every day — not just the big moments.
I’m asking you again, because this is really important: Please rush $5 or whatever works for you so that we can talk to voters across the state – even in the toughest corners – so that we can keep this seat blue.
Thank you for allowing me to explain. The email I mentioned is pasted below.
With every good wish,
Maggie Hassan

Subject: asking one last time
Hi, I know you’ve been getting a lot of emails lately, but I had to ask one more time.
Our final FEC deadline of the year is midnight tonight. Once we close the books in a few hours, it will officially be election year, and we’ll need to hit the ground running.
New Hampshire will be one of the closest – and most closely-watched – races of 2022. In 2021, the GOP spent more money attacking me than any other Senator in the country, and I’m a top target for Mitch McConnell.
Please, I need your help. Rush $5 or whatever you can before midnight tonight to protect our fragile Democratic majority.
Thank you for being on my team in 2021. I’m so grateful to have your support as we head into 2022.
With every good wish,
Maggie Hassan
