Friend – growing up, I learned to love the outdoors on hikes and camping trips with my dad. All these years later, I still get outside as often as I can – hiking, horseback riding, and rock climbing:

I’ve found that my race to defend Nevada's Senate seat and our Senate majority is a lot like rock climbing. Every step has to be carefully planned. Small details matter. And mistakes can be costly.

Friend, this race is going to be a very challenging climb – and we have some big obstacles to overcome. Three new polls show me trailing my Trump-endorsed opponent, GOP outside groups have spent more than over $4 million to defeat me, and election experts just downgraded my chances of winning to toss-up.

When you’re climbing as a team, communication is critical, so I have to be direct with you: Missing tonight's fundraising goal would make our pathway to the top much harder. It's the kind of mistake that could put us just behind on Election Day and cost us the Senate. And I'm about to fall short of my goal with just hours left:
