The people of this district have given me so much hope.
Yesterday, I was out knocking doors in the rain here in Austin. Sometimes I think about why I get out there and do this hard work to get elected — it's because of the stories I hear while I am out. I hear how good healthcare programs save people's lives. I hear how people are working two and three jobs just to support their families and make sure their kids have a chance at success. I hear from people who are scared for the future of their kids and grandkids because of the threats of climate change and gun violence. But, I also hear hope. Hope that we can pull together and fight for each other.
That is why I am runnning for Congress. I’ve spent 20 years in the classroom and the courtroom, fighting to give everyone a fair shot at success.
