Jeff Sessions just announced that he's running for the Senate in 2020. Sessions is one of the reasons Washington is so dysfunctional right now. And we can't have him in the Senate.
Putting extreme right-wing Senate candidates on the ballot in 2020 is all a part of the Republicans' plan. The Washington Post has reported that part of the Republicans' strategy to hold their Senate majority is to try to flip Alabama and Minnesota.
Both Doug and I are facing extreme right-wing opponents, which puts our seats in jeopardy in this election.
We do not want Jeff Sessions or Jason Lewis or another polarizing figure in Washington — we need people that are ready to come together. That's why we need to do everything we can to keep Sessions and Lewis out.
