Insurrectionists who attempted to overturn a free, fair, democratic election and forced Congressional staff to retreat to safe rooms are now running for public office. And they’re winning.

In 2021, at least 11 January 6 insurrectionists were elected to public office. In 2022, 57 insurrectionists are set to start new campaigns.

These January 6 rioters disdain our democratic processes and the will of the American people. Obviously, we cannot allow these people to run and win. Eric, as a former impeachment manager in Congress and a believer in the rule of law, knows that the solution here is accountability. These rioters must be held accountable, not rewarded with the honor and responsibility of serving constituents.
