NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

+ WIN: Join us in 🎉 celebrating 🎉 a historic harm reduction win out of New Jersey! After much organizing and mobilizing from the NJ harm reduction community, last week on January 10th, the New Jersey Legislature passed far-reaching legislation to expand access to syringe services, which are essential public health tools to end the overdose crisis. Digital illustration of a sidewalk and store fonts with greenery around and cute lamps. A sign over one warm golden-colored store front reads ''Drug User Health Program. Syringe Exchange, Safe Consumption Space, Medicated Assisted Therapy''. ⁣ Art by Jamie Harary

"In my vision for Harm Reduction Futures, overdose prevention sites, needle exchanges, and other services for people who use drugs don’t need to be hidden, the people who access them don’t need to be shamed..." - Jamie Harary

Purple, pink, and teal color themed illustrated comic. Curly haired, glasses wearing, person with their hands on their hips in the lower left corner with thought bubbles coming out of them with people connecting, lounging, smoking, sitting under and on mushrooms. Text in the thought bubbles read: My dream is to live in a world where people can explore altered states of consciousness free from stigma and shame! ⁣
"This comic depicts me daydreaming about a world in which people feel free to expand their minds using a variety of techniques without fear of judgement or retribution. I believe that if people's need for connection and spirituality could be fulfilled, addiction would be a much less common phenomenon in our society."⁣- Gaia WXYZ⁣

Digital illustration with purple background with yellow font in the middle, ''Test your Candies.'' Babes are smiling and dancing, partying on the sides. Disco ball on the top and test strips rain down the middle. ⁣

"'Candies' is a reminder to my queer community to be aware of the chemicals they put in their bodies. Rather than point fingers or criminalize communities, specially those who are BIPOC and LGBTQI+, we need to imagine what a society can look like when we take care of each other. Harm reduction is a start!" - Julio Salgado
