Hi everyone,
On January 15th, 1908 at Howard University, nine women pushed the boundaries of convention by founding the first Black sorority. Since then, members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. have established themselves as globally impactful and community-minded leaders in all aspects of life.
My fellow Sorors and I have committed ourselves to serving and uplifting our communities. This organization continually inspires me to advocate for the disenfranchised and raise my voice for those who are unable to speak for themselves.
As we look to the future, I am confident that Alpha Kappa Alpha will continue to inspire generations of young women to break barriers and strive for excellence. The future of this organization is assured, so long as our commitment to service and leadership remains strong.
Wishing all of my Sorors a happy Founders' Day,
Terri Sewell
