Hey,
Republicans made some strange, dangerous assertions before the 2020 election, like warning voters about imaginary limits on how many burgers you can eat, and anti-Semitic claims about a space laser.
Now, as the 2022 cycle begins, they've already returned to the old playbook. That's why I'm writing to ask you to chip in $5 or more so we can start swatting down their bogus conspiracy theories right away -- before they take hold.
We can't let Republicans continue to spread misinformation and breed distrust across the country. It's bad enough that many of them still refuse to admit that Joe Biden won the last election. In fact, here in Pennsylvania, not a SINGLE ONE of the Republican Senate candidates, including the discredited host of a medical TV show, will share whether they would've accepted the results.
Over in Wisconsin, a candidate The New York Times called "the Senate's leading purveyor of misinformation about elections" who claimed that mouthwash could stop COVID and that climate change was caused by "sun spots," just announced he'll run for re-election.
And one Arizona Senate candidate even included the coded phrase "Let's go, Brandon" in a TV ad.
We can't let these folks take the majority and spread their lies on the Senate floor -- but if we don't raise the money to fight back, that's exactly what will happen. Will you chip in by midnight tonight so we can defend and expand our majority, before it's too late?

The lies, the foul rhetoric, and the division that Republican candidates are sowing are bad enough.
But this election is about more than that -- it's about the kind of country we want to live in.
