Although sexual and reproductive health and rights ("SRHR") are
essential to gender equality, millions of women and girls around the
world still lack legal protections for these fundamental rights.

Webinar to Discuss Landmark Cases Around the Globe

On Wednesday, January 26, Enid Muthoni, Senior Vice President of our
Global Legal Program, will moderate the virtual panel discussion,
"Using Litigation to Accelerate the Protection of Sexual and
Reproductive Health and Rights Across the Globe." The event brings
together global experts to discuss the impact of strategic litigation
before international and regional bodies-and the ways in which
the Center's own litigation has served as a tool for fostering

In Nepal, Student Activists Champion SRHR

In partnership with the Forum for Women, Law and Development, the
Center hosted a one-day, national-level workshop for student activists
in Nepal aimed at strengthening the capacity of young leaders to
advance legal protections for sexual and reproductive health and
rights (SRHR). The hands-on event brought together activists from
legal, medical, and social studies backgrounds as key actors in the
fight to defend SRHR in the region.

Center to Launch Reproductive Law and Justice Clinic for Next
Generation of Legal Experts

The Center has been working to advance reproductive rights in India
for more than a decade. Now, we've partnered with Jindal Global
Law School, one of the top law schools in India, to provide a
reproductive law and justice clinic to undergraduate students in a one
year pilot program. This exciting initiative provides unique insight
into the impact that legal advocacy can have on human rights.
