This is Brian, Alisha’s campaign manager. We try not to bother you on the weekend, but I had to make an exception for today because we have an important fundraising deadline at midnight. Can you chip in to make sure we hit our can’t-miss goal?

Tonight we will be halfway through January, but right now we’re not on track to hit our fundraising goal for the month. I know the election feels far away, but fundraising at this point is crucial to invest in resources like a campaign office, campaign staff, and advertising. If we’re going to defeat Republican Don Bacon this November, we cannot afford to fall behind on a single fundraising goal — especially now that we’re officially in the election year. So please, John, if you are able, will you chip in to our campaign before our mid-month fundraising deadline tonight?
