U.S. families fear hunger and eviction after child-tax credit expires…

“I’m feeling disappointed today. We fought hard for Congress to extend the expanded Child Tax Credit, but because 51 US Senators (all the Republicans plus one Democrat, WV Senator Joe Manchin) blocked President Biden’s Build Back Better plan in December, the monthly Child Checks have ended and millions of families won’t get the support they need.

More than ever, we can’t sit back or stay quiet. We have to demand that the Senate extends Child Checks ASAP, so families can afford essentials like rent and groceries.”
