Opposing President Biden's Authoritarian Vaccine Mandates
President Biden’s vaccine mandates are unlawful and not based on science. They deny workers their livelihood, divide our society, and diminish liberty. They are bad policies that undermine public confidence in the vaccines and compound the President’s failure to fulfill his promise to "crush the virus."
The Supreme Court's ruling blocking OSHA’s vaccine mandate is a welcomed rejection of an arbitrary, aggressive, and authoritarian government. But the fight isn’t over. I will continue speaking up for the many health care workers who have been wrongly fired due to a similar mandate. They were on the front lines during the worst times of this pandemic, and many have natural immunity from prior infections. It is wrong to continue a mandate that punishes the same workers who have sacrificed so much to take care of Americans.
Urging President Biden to Stand Up to Union Bosses

At this week's House Republican Leadership press conference, I called on President Biden to stand up to union bosses, who are undermining in-person education, and ensure schools remain open.
Kids across America are being denied opportunities when their schools are shut down. Just last week, 5,200 schools were closed. Recently, the Chicago Teachers Union voted to cancel in-person learning and refused to show up to work, despite no scientific basis for their decision.
There is absolutely no reason for students to be forced to learn virtually. It is imperative that the Biden Administration do everything in its power to ensure students are learning in-person so they can begin to make up all that they have lost throughout this pandemic.
Celebrating National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day
Last Sunday was National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, and Congressman Troy Nehls and I wrote an op-ed celebrating the hundreds of thousands of brave men and women who serve their communities as police officers.
In Louisiana — and throughout the country — our brave law enforcement heroes put their lives on the line to protect us and keep us safe. It's important that we continue to support law enforcement as we see an uptick in violent crime across our nation and increased difficulties retaining police officers.
Meeting With St. Tammany Parish Leaders
I recently met with St. Tammany Parish President Mike Cooper and Parish Council Members to discuss issues affecting the parish. We discussed concerns about the rising cost of flood insurance and FEMA’s flawed implementation of Risk Rating 2.0. I let them know I'm fighting for more transparency regarding FEMA’s new risk determination for flood insurance rates and working with my colleagues in Congress to reform the National Flood Insurance Program.
It is an honor to represent you in Congress. For more information, please visit my website, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook pages.
