Let’s get voting rights past the finish line! Indivisibles,
The time for change is upon us. Things are heating up in our fight for democracy reform: Majority Leader Schumer is cancelling recess and bringing folks back together on Tuesday to start the process of passing voting rights legislation (that’s a little later than we expected because of a winter storm and a positive COVID test, but still on track!).
This is why we have partnered with the Declaration for American Democracy Coalition to hold a weekend of action to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. Indivisibles across the country are attending events now through Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, to show their elected officials that they demand voting rights, and they demand them now.

Voting rights and democracy reform is an extremely important issue, and we have been begging our Democratic House Reps and Senators to do right by us. Despite activists winning a narrow Democratic trifecta in 2020, we're a year in and President Biden and the Democrats in Congress still haven’t gotten voting rights legislation across the finish line. However, we’re much closer than ever before!
If you have a Democratic Senator, call them and let them know you want them to eliminate the filibuster to pass much-needed democracy reform!
If you have a Republican senator, click here to call the White House Comment Line and let President Biden know you want him to do everything he can to protect voting rights.
There's no time to waste! We know that those of us who want to protect and expand the people’s rights to participate are in the majority, and what we are fighting for is right. This should not be a partisan issue, and all Americans should have access to fair elections. President Biden and Senate Democrats need to give the American people what they asked for and fix or ditch the filibuster to pass much-needed democracy reforms. Join us this weekend in honoring Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy and demanding action from our elected officials.
Thank you for always staying in this fight with us.
In solidarity,
Indivisible Team
