Two months ago this week, I entered the race for New York’s 22nd Congressional District.

And I can tell you without a doubt that my favorite part of the campaign is connecting with voters and supporters like you, John.

The current spike in COVID-19 has prevented us from doing many in-person activities lately, but it’s critically important that I remain connected with our grassroots team.

That’s why I’m going to directly call some of the folks who chip in a few bucks through this email to thank you and talk about the work we will do together to win this race.

As you may know, Claudia Tenney’s last election was decided by just 109 votes, meaning every dollar could mean the difference between winning or losing this race in November. I know we send a lot of emails asking for your support, but I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t so important.

At a time when the country is so divided, our campaign is focused on bringing people together to find common ground on the issues that matter: revitalizing and strengthening the economy in a way that lifts everyone up and brings everyone along.

But we need representatives in Congress who are willing to set aside the divisions and distractions and roll up their sleeves and get to work. That’s why this race is so important.
