Dear National Park Advocate,
For years, hikers at Grand Teton's Jenny Lake ran into "trail closed"
signs at Hidden Falls, Inspiration Point, and the lakefront. Some of
the trails were becoming unsafe. Exhibits and maps were showing their
age. And a massive, multi-year renewal project was underway.[1]
I experienced Jenny Lake's new trails this fall, and I can tell you
that those repair and maintenance projects made all the difference.
This spectacular place has been given the care that it deserves.
While Jenny Lake's restoration has been a great success, America's
national parks need nearly $12 billion for repairs like these. The
good news is that a bipartisan bill could rush aid to the parks -- if
enough park advocates speak out.
Take action now for America's national parks. Tell to support the Restore Our Parks
Act!

The backlog of park maintenance projects has been growing for years.
Electrical and telephone systems at Olympic National Park need to be
updated; trails at Yosemite need upgrades; the main water delivery
pipe at the Grand Canyon is 50 years old. The list goes on and on.
In fact, nearly every park in the National Park System has repair
projects that have been put off for years or even decades.
The Restore Our Parks Act would dedicate as much as $6.5 billion to
the most vital park repair projects.
Tell your U.S. senators to do everything
they can to pass the Restore Our Parks Act. The Senate doesn't have
much time left to act in 2019, so there's not a moment to lose -- take
action now!

Park advocates like you have built a real bipartisan movement, and
it's making a difference in Congress. Thank you for letting your
senators know that parks transcend politics.

Note
1) Thanks to the hard work of the Grand Teton National Park Foundation
and its partnership with the National Park Service for making this
vision for Jenny Lake a reality.
