According to the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) Education Fund, a record number of Latinos served in elected office in 2021! Over the past two decades, the number of Latino elected officials has grown nearly 75 percent, however, there’s a catch: Latinos still make up less than 2% of all elected officials in the U.S. While that’s awfully low, we’re proud to work alongside partners across the country to keep building an inclusive democracy, empowering more Latino leaders and all New American leaders to run, win, and lead!
