I picked up the newspaper yesterday to see a rather peculiar headline... a knee-slapper.

[link removed] [[link removed]]Apparently my opponent Senator Chuck Grassley is kicking off his 64th-year in elected office by announcing that he is for term limits… especially for others. (Awaiting word from him on age limitations for elected office.)

My view is that we either change the way elections are funded or we institute term limits. The perversion of money in today’s elections keeps even insurrectionists in office.

Unlike Grassley, I will abide by term limits in the U.S. Senate. For now, let’s use the ballot box to ‘term limit’ Chuck Grassley’s generational grip as Iowa’s senior senator and finally give him the dignified retirement he deserves.

The early polls show this will be a close race. But knowing the GOP of today, chances are they will attack my military service, my rural roots, my Iowa values… Mitch McConnell is already raising millions into Super PACs to spend on TVs all across Iowa.

Right now, we’re facing our first mid-month deadline of the year tomorrow, and we’re still shy of our $100,000 goal and what we need to turn Iowa blue. I’m not taking money from corporate PACs, so I’m counting on grassroots donors like you:
