GAETZ INTRODUCES BILL TO REPEAL DC VACCINE MANDATE

Starting on January 15, Mayor Muriel Bowser is requiring that all businesses enforce a vaccine mandate upon entry. This includes all Washington, D.C. restaurants, bars, concerts, theaters, gyms, banquet halls, conference centers, and more. In response to this autocratic absurdity, I introduced H.R. 6382, to nullify this mandate and all future mandates that impose a vaccine entry requirement for certain establishments and facilities. I continue to stand for freedom in the face of Democrat mayors, congressmen, governors, presidents, and NIAID directors who cherish and abuse their power and control over Americans like you and me.

LETTER SENT TO GOV. DESANTIS TO PROTECT VACCINE FREEDOM IN FLORIDA

Speaking of unconstitutional vaccine mandates, I had to notify Governor DeSantis of such an occurrence right here in Walton County. The 30A Songwriters Festival is in violation of Florida's Executive Order 21-82 which provides that "Businesses in Florida are prohibited from requiring patrons or customers to provide any documentation certifying COVID-19 statues." The law is clear cut — by mandating that all participants get vaccinated or provide a negative test as a condition to enter this event is in violation of state law. Additionally, as you will see in my letter, this festival has received money from the taxpayer-funded Tourist Development Council of Walton County. Florida taxpayers did not elect to fund COVID-19 mandates.

LETTER EXPOSING DR. FAUCI

On January 10th, Project Veritas released a bombshell report alleging that Dr. Fauci and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) funded gain of function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Moreover, information regarding potential cures for COVID-19 was suppressed and a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) report detailing this information was hidden in a top-secret folder. For these reasons of concern, I cosigned a letter addressing Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra, and CDC Director Rochelle Walensky, asking many important questions about the revelations of this Project Veritas video.

PURPLE HEART AWARDED TO PFC BEEKMAN

I am proud to report that Private First Class Corey Beekman was finally awarded a Purple Heart medal for his dutiful service!

In 2007, when PFC Beekman served with the 146st Combat HET, he encountered multiple mortar and roadside IED detonations. One of these involved him fighting fire to rescue teammates trapped within a vehicle. After respectfully separating from the Army at the rank of Staff Sergeant, I am proud to see that my office assisted PFC Beekman in securing his long overdue Purple Heart. Overwhelmed with emotion, he could not believe that this chapter in his life came to a final closure. Surrounded by family and his support dog, Hillbilly, PFC Corey Beekman rightfully accept this prestigious decoration.

CHANGE OF COMMAND CEREMONY

Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending the Change of Command at NAS Pensacola Museum. This Change of Command saw the retirement of Captain Timothy Kinsella, who was relieved by incoming Captain Terrance Shashaty. Captain Kinsella, thank you for your leadership, service, and oversight through command here in Pensacola, and for setting Captain Shashaty up for success!
