My fellow Republicans,
The Primary is upon us and there is a lot of activity going on. Early voting starts February 14th, and Election Day is March 1st.
Anyone interested in being a Precinct Chair for the 2022-2024 term who did not already file last fall can file beginning tomorrow at 1 p.m. at our office, and ending Feb. 12 at 6 p.m.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is Monday and I encourage you to join me in the MLK Freedom Walk at 10 a.m. See the information below. This is not the canceled march; this is going on as planned.
Procedures for requesting an Absentee (Vote by Mail) ballot have been tightened to include a requirement to supply personal identification. See the County website below for details. We will send you more information next week.
As you know, the county party has the responsibility to conduct a fair primary election. I, as Chairman, and the Executive Director, Gary Teal, do not endorse or support any opposed candidate in this primary. All candidates are welcome to use the resources of our office.
Thank you,
John Austin
Chairman
Republican Party of Bexar County
