Many in the media and the critics of Sens. Sinema and Manchin like to caricature them and falsely ascribe motives to our hero-allies. The reality is that both Senators are motivated by trying to do the most basic No Labels stuff: start the process of addressing our big challenges with two-party negotiations among well-intentioned folks from both sides. That’s how you unite the country, that’s how you get good policy, that’s how you get buy-in across the board on new legislation in the vast center.
